Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facilities of today show no similarity to those of even a decade earlier. There are additional modular construction platforms available in present facilities, each with its own unique identity and set of strengths. Furthermore, modern single-use process equipment, embedded process equipment, and clean rooms allow significant improvements in the productivity and running costs reduction. New processing platforms and improved plant architecture have also revamped the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facilities. Some of the biopharma facilities, especially those that make significant use of single-use process equipment, are beginning to imitate discrete manufacturing plants, helping to increase the manufacturing of pharmaceutical goods.
